Dear Consul General Matynia:

On behalf of the American Jewish Committee, we write to express our heartfelt sympathy to the people of Poland in the wake of the tragic plane crash that occurred this past weekend.

AJC stands with Poland at this time in history.  All of us at AJC in Chicago feel a sense of personal loss.  President Kaczynski and others on the plane helped to write a new chapter in the historic relationship between Poles and Jews and our lives are enriched having known them. 

Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Poland.  If there is anything we can do to be of assistance, please do not hesitate to call upon us.
