William H. Strong recieves the Civic Achievement Award

CROWN PRESENTS STRONG WITH CIVIC ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

On February 12th, Lester Crown presented our Civic Achievement Award to William H. Strong, Vice Chairman of Morgan Stanley. The very successful dinner concluded with Bill speaking about how his definition of success has changed over the course of his lifetime.

Bill's remarks concluded with him saying that he now defines success as:

"... giving something back. Something back to those less fortunate... something back to my community - this great city of Chicago... something back to this great nation. Therefore, when Lester Crown and Tom Cole approached me regarding the Civic Leadership Award from the American Jewish Committee, I could not have been more pleased. The AJC is giving something back. It is combating all forms of bigotry. It is fighting discrimination of any type. And its message of tolerance, peace and pluralism is so relevant for today's troubled world. By being here this evening and by contributing to the AJC, you are giving something back - and you are helping me with my newest definition of success. I am honored to accept the Civic Achievement Award from the American Jewish Committee."

We are pleased with Bill's support of the AJC and all those who contributed to his event.

Lester Crown, Chairman, AJC National President's Cabinet, presents the Civic Achievement Award to William H. Strong.
